Orez was engaged by Barwick’s to provide a preliminary design package for a new In-Vessel Composting facility comprising of four tunnels, to be integrated within an existing shed. The IVC system is designed to process up to 24,000 t/a of various waste streams, including FOGO, Green Organics and liquid/sludges.
The facility has the potential to save up to 80,000 tonnes of CO2-emissions per year across Barwick’s facilities and is part of the Government’s plan to reduce emissions by working with all sectors of the economy and contribute to a nation-leading target of net zero emissions, or lower, from 2030.
