Pre and Post treatment lines

Organics pre and post treatment requires a special approach. Highly variable moisture levels, abrasive and sticky materials, huge throughputs and demands for machine availability are only some of the challenges to face when designing for organics processing.

Waste wood processing

Various options are available to suit a vast degree of client requirements. Orez works with clients to design and implement purpose-built solutions.

One approach would be the combination of slow-speed shredding, screening and magnetic sorting, with oversize returned to the shredder.

This compact system can be used to prepare various classes of wood waste for recycling or energy recovery.

Anaerobic Digestion

Orez works hand-in-hand with Thoeni to design and deliver anaerobic digestion solutions to Australia and New Zealand. Anaerobic digestion allows the production of biogas, which can be used for numerous applications, including but not limited to CHP operation for electricity production, heating, CNG upgrading for fleet operation, and local grid energy supply. Coupled with Orez’s extensive experience in organics composting, we’re able to design, construct and commission waste processing facilities necessary for Australia’s modern circular resource recovery operations.

TTV Plug Flow Digestion

The TTV Plug flow digester allows waste streams to be used as a feedstock for anaerobic digestion. Due to the high solids design of the system, impurities are retained in suspension, allowing even the most contaminated organic feedstock to be eligible for digestion.

TTV technology is the best choice for curbside collected streams, where cleanliness is impossible to guarantee.

TNV Wet Digestion

Thoeni’s TNV Wet Digester is designed for clean organic feedstocks, these can include farm residues, depackaged food waste and grease trap wastes. The Thoeni TNV digester can operate at a much higher solids percentage than its competitors, allowing for a higher gas yield per tonne of input material. The digester utilizes slow rotating agitators for minimal energy consumption and maximum agitation of the digestate.

Composting
In-vessel Composting (IVC) Tunnels

Orez has extensive capabilities in in-vessel composting tunnels. Working closely with suppliers such as Christiaens Group, experts at Orez are able to design a solution for each unique clients’ requirements.

In-vessel composting has advantages over traditional composting processes including the following:

  • Environmental influences are removed
  • Efficient aeration of the product via spigot floor design
  • Odour emissions can be controlled
  • Heat emissions can be captured and reused
  • Leachate can be controlled and captured
  • Required area is minimized
  • Most rapid production of compost due to efficient control of parameters

Covered Aerated Static Piles
Bianna Covertech

CoverTech is a covered aerated pile composting solution. This solution allows for an efficient composting process at a lower investment than an in-vessel system.

The system includes an automatic carriage to remove and install the tarps, ensuring minimized operator effort and maximized productivity

Advantages of a Bianna Covertech CASP system include the following:

  • Environmental influences are reduced
  • Efficient aeration of the product via spigot floor or trench design
  • Odour emissions are controlled via the special membrane covers
  • Leachate can be captured by the aeration floor
  • Required area is minimized
  • Efficient production of compost, significantly faster than open windrow processes.
  • Lower CAPEX than IVC systems
