After the resounding success of the Phase One project, OREZ is thrilled to announce its continued partnership with Biogro for the second phase of the Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) pre-treatment line in Dandenong, Victoria. This second invitation reflects not only OREZ’s dedication to excellence but also the satisfaction of our valued customers.
A pivotal challenge for OREZ in this phase was to devise a solution that would substantially increase throughput by fifty percent what was achieved in Phase One. Simultaneously, we aimed to identify and implement opportunities for enhanced efficiency in decontaminating the incoming waste stream. Additionally, a crucial requirement was to curtail operational costs, including staff hours and maintenance/consumables.
Working within a challenging floorplan of an existing building offering limited space, OREZ showcased creativity in accommodating all Biogro’s requirements. The extension in Phase 2 promises to boost processing capacity, increase separation efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Notably, the integration of the Komptech Splitter, a first-of-its-kind used in this way for Organics processing, underscores our commitment to innovation and effectiveness in waste stream management, ensuring the safe and efficient separation of fractions / contamination.

Increased processing capacity and separation efficiency: The extension in Phase 2 will significantly enhance processing capacity and improve the efficiency of waste stream separation.
Operational cost reduction: OREZ’s solution focuses on reducing operational costs, staff hours, maintenance, and consumables, whilst doubling the facilities throughput.
Client satisfaction: The return invitation for Phase 2 serves as the biggest compliment to OREZ, signifying a satisfied and happy customer base.
Environmental impact: The project aims to reduce manual handling, wheel loader movement and therefore diesel consumption, and emissions, contributing to a more sustainable future.
Innovative technology – Komptech Splitter: OREZ proudly introduces the Komptech Splitter, a cutting-edge technology from Austria. This innovation plays a key role in splitting the waste stream into two fractions without damaging contamination and jeopardizing the quality of output fractions.
