Organics Finishing Line, Melbourne

OREZ Solutions is proud to partner once again with Repurpose It, a leading resource recovery company in Melbourne, to design, build, and commission a cutting-edge organic finishing line. This new project continues our shared commitment to transforming waste into valuable, sustainable resources.

The organic finishing line at Repurpose It’s Epping facility will refine Food Organics & Garden Organics (FOGO) waste into nutrient-rich compost and other high-value by-products. With the capacity to process over 200,000 tonnes of organic waste annually, RPI’s Epping Road facility is set to be the largest organics processing facility in Victoria.

Project Highlights

• Bespoke Design: The finishing line is custom designed to process compost, removing light plastics, metals, and sizing it into four distinct fractions for use in soil blending and other products.
• High Capacity: The line features a 20-meter drum screen system, one of the longest in Australia, with the capability to handle future growth as Repurpose It continues its expansion.
• Advanced Waste Processing: Incorporating industry-standard ferrous metal removal with magnets and wind sifters to separate light materials from heavy ones, ensuring premium-quality output.
• Circular Economy Focus: The solution supports Repurpose Its mission to create premium, sustainable products for upscale markets and contribute to Australia’s circular economy.

Our Role

This collaboration is the second between OREZ and Repurpose It, building on the success of our first project — the FOGO pre-treatment line (2022). Our in-house design and delivery team works closely with Repurpose It to ensure that the finishing line not only meets Australian standards but exceeds client expectations.

Returning customers like Repurpose It are a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation in waste management solutions.

The finishing line OREZ is delivering will help Repurpose It refine organic waste products and develop premium materials, addressing common industry challenges such as contamination and quality control.
