OREZ and Bianna Recycling Extend Strategic Partnership, Adding TVS Thermal Technology to the Australian and New Zealand Portfolio
A renewed three-year agreement expands OREZ’s exclusive dealer rights to include Bianna’s TVS ThermoValue Solutions portfolio, opening a new pathway for energy recovery from biomass and high-calorific residues across regional and industrial Australia.
OREZ Solutions and Bianna Recycling S.L. have signed a renewed Collaboration and Dealer Agreement, extending a partnership that has been in place since 2022 for a further three-year term.
The renewed agreement maintains OREZ’s exclusive dealer and distribution rights for Bianna’s full product portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. It also expands that scope to include Bianna’s TVS ThermoValue Solutions portfolio, a range that entered the Bianna stable through the 2024 acquisition of Sugimat Technologies, a Spanish thermal processing business with a track record spanning more than 3,000 installations across 28 countries.
What TVS brings to the Australian market
The TVS portfolio centres on the TVE ThermoValue Energy platform, a proven modular thermal treatment system that converts high-calorific-value organic and biomass fractions into both thermal oil and grid-quality electricity via an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC). The technology closes the loop on waste streams that have historically had limited recovery options, transforming residues into continuous, reliable on-site energy.
A particularly compelling application is the recovery of energy from timber and wood processing residues, including sawmill offcuts, bark, wood chips and manufacturing by-products, at throughputs of 20,000 to 40,000 tpa. At this scale, the TVE ThermoValue Energy platform delivers full thermal and electrical autonomy to timber mills, sawmills and wood products manufacturers, producing continuous process heat via thermal oil and on-site electricity via ORC.
The self-contained, decentralised design of the platform is built to operate at the point of origin. For regional and remote Australian industrial operators where grid access is limited and energy costs are high, that means a direct route to energy independence without the capital burden or permitting complexity of traditional large-scale energy-from-waste infrastructure. For operators who have historically disposed of or stockpiled biomass residues, the value proposition is straightforward: put the waste to work.
A partnership built on a strong commercial foundation
The original OREZ and Bianna partnership, established in 2022, has been grounded in Bianna’s mechanical biological treatment (MBT) portfolio, one of the most respected equipment ranges in the recycling processing sector. The addition of the TVS range reflects both the maturation of that relationship and the deliberate broadening of OREZ’s capability to serve industrial and agricultural clients seeking integrated distributed waste-to-energy outcomes.
Albert Bocchetto of Bianna Recycling said “Australia and New Zealand are strategic markets for Bianna’s international growth, particularly as industrial operators increasingly seek practical ways to transform locally available biomass and high-calorific residues into useful energy. By combining Bianna’s thermal engineering capabilities and proven technology portfolio with OREZ’s local market knowledge, project delivery experience and customer support, we can offer clients a credible route from initial feedstock assessment through to long-term plant operation. The renewal of our partnership is therefore more than an extension of a dealer agreement; it represents a shared commitment to developing projects and establishing a strong local reference base”.
OREZ CEO Max Bergomi said: “Our partnership with Bianna has consistently given us access to proven, well-supported technology for the Australian and New Zealand markets. Adding the TVS portfolio means we can now address a broader range of feedstocks and energy recovery needs, particularly for regional industrial operators who are sitting on significant biomass resources and want to extract real value from them.”
